1930SummerMartins began building in a colony watched by Msrius Morse at Robbinsdale on,May 4th. The last young to leave their nests in this colony departed on July.30th. The writer saw young out of their nests at Blackduck on June 24th. other colonies were reported from Ninneapolis, Shakopee, St. Paul, Frontenac, Deer River, and Big Sandy Lake0
1931Summer11any colonies reported by nost observers. On June 4th nests contained from 1 -4 eggs (R. Woolsey).

1933Summer Six breeding records obtained, Morse found the contents of a nest at Robbinsdale to be 3 eggs on June 4th. Several nests with young were exanined, and young out of the nest are reported by Morse for July 17th,
1934Summer Hiemenz noted martins building on May 4th at st, Cloud, but it was not until June 22nd that Hanson investigated a nest at Lake vBnni• bigoshish ru1c1 found it to:,lconta.in 3 eggs.. No eo.rlier r.ecor,ds of occupied nests were reported. Hiemcnz and Hanson. oach 1reported several nests found in dead stumps sticking out of' the water. 1935Summer Strnngely enough, the members of the Bird Club send in the fewest reports for the commonest species. This year the number of Holbo<:..ll1 s Grobe records is the same as tho combined records of English Sparrow, American Crow and Martin. In order to include the :V.18l'tin in this nesting articlB, the writer had to furnish the only reoord by thii'lJdng back to Hay ;?.5th 1/1hen he and the rest of the Bird Club saw but did not inv0stigate several occupied r~tin houses at ~rontenac.
1936Summer A good number of nests o:f this species 1..rere reportoc1. On Hay 28th a nest at Itasca State Park containing eggs wos discovered by Ken Carlander. A. C. Rosenwinkel saw young ready to fly at Giese on July 10th. Nests containing young were reported by Kenneth Car lander for July 21st.
1937SummerOn June 3 Mrs. C. E. Peterson saw martins carrying nest­ing material, at Madison, Minn. Rysgaard saw martins building at Sturgeon Lake on June 10.
1938SummerOn May 5 26 martins began carrying nesting materials to a box provided at White Bear Lake by R. M. Berrhel. On July 2 Gus Swanson saw many nests, one with 5 eggs; the nests were among the rocks of Spirit Island, Mille Lacs. At Lake Vermillion, Prosser and Swedenborg saw martins incubating on June 5; young awing were being fed on July 17.
1940SummerK. Carlander found a nest with young on July I3, at Lake of the Woods. Several martin houses were occupied at Renville on May 30.

RSF reported that colonies in the Willmar area suffered 20–25% chick mortality after a cool snap in mid-July, probably due to starvation; high mortality was also reported at some colonies in eastern Minnesota fide RSF.
